Because nothing is right when the light changes
You have the lack of all you know, you know, you know, you know
Growing like orphans in orphan cages

But hopefully, in a house beneath the leaves, we don't have to think

You've got your losses, we've all got losses by the ton
A pile of them in the corner room
You’ve got your crosses, we've all got crosses by the score
Causing more or less a real sense of doom

And in between we breathe, hopefully
